Here at Body Enlightenment, we take pride in helping people feel better.

We work with the muscles and soft tissue with massage and stretching. Massage manipulates the muscle, and stretching elongates the muscles. The body is essential and important to perform our daily activities. We all care for our cars and objects, so why not invest in our bodies' well-being? After all, it is like one big machine.

Massage is used to help manage a health condition or enhance wellness. It involves manipulating the soft tissues of the body. Massage has been practiced in most Eastern and Western cultures throughout human history and was one of the earliest tools people used to relieve pain. There are many forms of massage. Some of the common are Swedish, deep tissue, and sports. Some forms accomplish specific goals, and others help with overall body wellness.

Assisted Stretching is stretching with the assistance of another person. Assisted stretching allows your body to move in ways it cannot when stretching alone. Active isolated stretching (AIS) is sometimes called the Mattes Method. It was developed by Aaron L. Mattes decades ago as an amazing way to reduce pain, increase flexibility, and improve performance while decreasing the chance of injury. This stretching is dynamic. You only hold the stretches for two seconds each and repeat for a few reps, whereas, in static stretching, you hold the stretches between thirty to sixty seconds.
